Design & Consultation Services

Oakridge Nursery is a professional landscape design and installation company. We employ graduate landscape designers with several years of experience in the landscape field. We require our designers to become South Dakota certified Nurserymen and complete certification in retaining wall installation.

The first step is to make an appointment with one of our graduate landscape designers at your home. During this consultation the designer will discuss your ideas and develop the project’s goals. You’ll also propose a budget and whether we will install or if this is a do-it-yourself project.

Prior to drafting a plan, we require a deposit of $150.00 ($250.00 for calls 50 miles or more, excluding the Lake Madison area) with $100.00 rebated back to the customer thru the purchase of threes, shrubs and perennials for the landscape project. Expiration is one year. If the project is abandoned, postponed or canceled the $150.00 deposit shall also be forfeited.

Projects generally range from $2500.00 and up. The plan remains the property of OAKRIDGE until $500.00 is spent at the nursery towards the landscaping.

A do-it-yourself project fee includes ONE trip by the designer to lay our lines, deliver edging or plants. Any additional trips will have a $50.00 per hour trip charge. Any deliveries using OAKRIDGE vehicles will have the standard delivery fee.
